What makes theses unique is that the line will run thru the blank, thereby making these incredibly lightweight and responsive. As well, this prevents the line from getting damaged when being transported. Because of the fast tapered blanks, these are having a very sensitive tip, making sure you will not miss a single bit, but because of the massive backbone, those are perfectly capable of putting some real pressure on a big fish.
