ESP Terry Hearn Landing Net

ESP is a brand that designs and manufactures all of its tackle for anglers, by anglers, and this landing net is no different. Designed in conjunction with lead consult and carp fishing legend Terry Hearn, this is one landing net that has the expert seal of approval. The ESP Terry Hearn Landing Net perfectly complements the range of Terry Hearn rods and features trademark graphics, such as the slim red band, to ensure that it looks every bit as good as it feels on the bank. This landing net has been designed to Terry’s exacting specifications, which is why the net is both deep and wide. Ever the optimist, Terry is always looking to capture the biggest carp possible and he wants to be able to target these monster fish in the confidence that he’ll be able to land one should they take his bait. This net has 44 inch arms, which is significantly longer than traditional carp nets, and is 1.22m deep. This allows the net to act as a temporary ‘keepnet’ for the carp once it’s at the bank, enabling you to get your rods out again quickly whilst the carp recovers.

The mesh on the ESP Terry Hearn Landing Net features 8mm holes, or ‘minnow mesh’, which is super soft and has been designed with the safety of the fish in mind. After all, it is only by practising proper fish care that the 30lb of today can turn into the 40lb of the future. The net features heavy duty sacking on the corners, which prevents the arms from poking through and causing unnecessary strain on the mesh. The spreader block has been manufactured from especially engineered plastic. Not only is this lighter than traditional aluminium or stainless steel but it is also every bit as strong. The spreader block has also been pinned and bonded onto the handle, preventing any spinning or twisting. The handle of the net is manufactured from the same high-modulus material as the arms and is 6ft in length. It also boasts a reverse taper, giving additional stiffness where you need it the most and making the base of the handle that bit easier to stick into the ground whilst you’re retaining your fish.
