Made from one of the new carbon/plastic compounds, this reel is both durable and light. It is a true large arbour. The drag is controlled by a large star on the back of the reel and can be altered from nil to “stop a train”. The centre shaft is stainless steel and although 90% of the Avalanche reels we sell are for freshwater use this will also make a good cheap saltwater reel.
